I purchased this to add to my Hotelier collection items, which I've had for 13 years. It's nice that I can still match the collection. This towel ring sits flush to the wall. The towel rests against the wall. That's not great for drying, but is good if you have minimal depth clearance, like I do. The ring is very loose. (Some rings will stay at the angle you put them. This one does not.) I do wish it hung at least 1" off the wall.
