    the downlights create a lot of heat, and can act as a spotlight rather than illuminating the whole room, so keep that in mind. it would be better to get the lights facing up if you want indirect lighting of the whole room. I have this in my kitchen eating area where my kids to homework, so i wanted something to light up the table and this does the job well. Also its easier to clean than the uplights. but in the summer the lights may heat up the room
