Crosley Radio CR60-BC Details
Crosley Radio Kettle Desk Phone in Brushed Chrome

A statement of style, grace and elegance. The 302 phone was introduced in 1937 and was the first in the collection to incorporate the bell in the base of the unit. Designed by Henry Dreyfuss and originally cast in metal, this piece was later produced using a heavy-duty plastic housing. The retro-style appearance is combined with a rugged construction earning it the nickname 'The Cow's Hoof' because of its lipped hoof-style base. This early desk version served as the standard for the better part of the World War II while telephone design efforts were halted due to defense work. Whether for its beauty or its brawn, the Crosley 302 Desk Phone is surely a conversation piece in any setting.

Comments about Crosley Radio Kettle Desk Phone in Brushed Chrome:

The free desk phone that came from the telco was an eyesore so I browsed the web in search for a unique phone that would go well with the rest of our home interiors. This Crosley phone stood out and had great reviews so I purchased one [...] When it finally arrived, I was happy to see it was almost as good as it looked on photo. The materials were pretty solid but they were not the metal body I was expecting, just coated in brushed chrome. I assume it's some sort of plastic, the type that would crack if it falls hard, though overall quality seemed good. [...] Also, the care maintenance guide said it can't be cleaned with much water or alcohol. The ringer was an authentic vintage sound.
