    If this chime is wireless, then how is it powered? The article does not say. I would like to know what this product is made of, the article does not say. If it is made of plastic, then I think the price is a little too high.

      The chime is wireless because no wire is required from the doorbell to the chime. The chime operates on 4 C cell batteries and the push buttons on A23 12 Volt Batteries. The manufacturer does not state the chime's material composition.
