    Can you tell me how high the lid is from the cooking grids at it's most shallow part....in nother words if you had a foil broiler pan approximately 17 3/4 x 13 3/4 x 3" deep...would this fit when the top is down?

      A:

      Our BroilKing distributor does not have the specifications on the clearance between the cooking grid and the closed lid. However, they did indicate that the lid can be removed if need be, and a broiler pan with the dimensions you'd mentioned will fit on the cooking surface.
