      The fan is quietly effective. I love the light. It gives brilliant light to the entire cook top so that you can actually see what you are cooking. My old cook top lighted from the back so that you could never see into the pans. This one is super!

        I have replaced a 15 yr. old model of the bottom of the line product, from the same manufacturer. This model was more costly, but it us quiet, efficient, easy to clean, and very nice looking, too. It offers all that I was hoping to obtain in an over-the-range, ventless hood.
